General Guidelines
The right-of-way includes all land along the railway, extending up to the boundary with the first private or public property.
The safety zone consists of a minimum width of fifteen meters on both sides of the rail track. This area is reserved for maintenance or emergency vehicle access and must remain free of any physical structures.
Any construction or intervention by a third party—whether individuals or companies—that affects railway sections must comply with the requirements established by the Brazilian National Land Transport Agency (ANTT) Resolution.
This process involves costs.
For preliminary information, please : [email protected]. The georeferencing data (Coordinates: UTM – SIRGAS2000) of the proposed work location must be submitted to obtain the railway address and adjacent stations.
For Level Crossings or any installation that runs alongside the railway (longitudinal occupation), the viability of the project will be evaluated.
Project examples:
- Overes and underes, such as viaducts, road cutting, tunnels, and pedestrian walkways, among others.
- Level crossing.
- Underground or overhead pipeline crossings (e.g., gas and oil pipelines, sewage systems, stormwater drainage systems, and similar infrastructure).
- Underground or overhead utility crossings (such as telecom and power lines, among others).
- Longitudinal occupation – at ground level or underground, for projects running alongside the railway line
Longitudinal Occupation Projects
The georeferencing data (Coordinates: UTM – SIRGAS2000) of the proposed work location must be submitted via email to [email protected], for a viability analysis of the project.
