VLI University
Launched in September 2018, VLI University was created as a space dedicated to training and developing people, fully aligned with the company’s strategy and values. This initiative offers educational solutions for different areas of operation through both in-person and virtual training sessions.
The headquarters in Belo Horizonte features a 420 m² space with four classrooms, an auditorium, and common areas, with the capacity to accommodate up to 160 people. The University also has branches in Divinópolis and Pedro Leopoldo.
Ongoing corporate education at VLI is designed for professionals across all areas of the company—from operational teams in ports, terminals, railways, and road transport, to staff analysts and top leadership teams, including managers, directors, and the CEO.
We have established partnerships with prestigious educational institutions, offering postgraduate and MBA programs—both national and international. We also provide access to the VLI Development Portal, which includes curated learning paths, a Virtual Library, a Sharing Platform for Best Practices, discussion forums, and chat tools for sharing information and knowledge.
With a clear focus on the future and action in the present, VLI University deepens its commitment to professional growth, strengthening skills that both individual excellence and the company’s cultural values.

Focado no desenvolvimento de profissionais para cargos operacionais de base, este programa combina conhecimento teórico e prático. São itidas pessoas com ensino médio completo, maiores de 18 anos (não há limite etário), para formação durante o período de um ano. People with Disabilities
VLI is investing in inclusion and development. At VLI, we value people with disabilities and their career development. They are included in training programs and take on roles that match their qualifications and experience. The program is open to individuals with disabilities recognized by Decree No. 5296/2004 and those who hold a Rehabilitation Certificate from the National Social Security Institute (known as INSS). Candidates must have completed high school and be over 18 years of age.
Young Apprentice Program
This program offers young people aged 18 to 24 their first experience in the job market. It includes technical training for operational roles at VLI, with selection processes based on the availability of positions in different locations.
